my sister’s mother-in-law is one of those tightly wound types.. pretty much an anti-Subgenius. spends a lot of time watching people passing by her house, through binoculars, judging them and tossing up whether to report them to the police for looking suspicious. she’s applied to join the police on two occasions, and even they wouldn’t have her.
there’s an independent Australian film called “Red Ball”, that is almost impossible to find (any number of theories about that, too), that paints the police in a very poor light. in this film they aren’t just lazy and corrupt, they’re actively malevolent. the plot involves a search for a serial killer who turns out to be a rich politician who’s being protected by the good old boy network in the police.
now, this is fiction… but my own few interactions with the boys in blue hasn’t convinced me otherwise.
Yes, American police–as seen on, e.g, Cops, the TV reality show, seems almost like sadistic solders of some cold-war– -soo there is a never-ending war in the land, then nuke the whole shit and start over, i’d say–kill yourselves and pave way for the real world…START WITH KILLING ALL POLICE, start from the top of the bureaucracy, of the pink world, and leave only the poets and artists – and LEAVE DOBBS’ CHILDREN..
