First time i saw this– recruitment video for a religious cult – MY MIND WAS BLOWN, or at least carried away.. It does such a great job at it’s purpose; if you get it you ARE SUBGENIUS, and if you can’t take the joke– OR merely doesn’t even understand (if it complexes) you are probably not a SUBGENIUS (fact is, most SubGenii only need to hear there’s a deity, high-epopt, slackmaster, religious leader named J.R Bob Dobbs, then see his face- TO REALIZE, THEN, WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT, the whole cult will unveil itself, just seeing “Bob”s face along with seeing that–sweet sweet, phenomenal–COMMERCIAL..
I love the very beginning of the video… When the lava flows along the ground – like takes it back to a primal stage, where everything is savage, chaotic and FREE, etc etc– i mean, what more, than magma, signifies it all!
I love it when the girl goes: “I mean, “Bob” is wonderful, “Bob” is….it… he’s it…”
Another great, short clip, i love – is when the narrator (Dr Hal) goes; “Until it becomes–UNTHINKABLE!” – and just as this is exclaimed, there’s the image playing of Bomber Planes dropping a whole bunch of BOMBS… I mean, it’s so neat, the whole video, so many quotable lines, and such a collection of great clips.
Fact that is how i first found out about this religion, from catching a 10-so-min-clip of this video, on Youtube – and then some time after i became a member, there was no doubt, it spoke straight into my very core, it was so clear, what “Bob” was and “SLACK”, and “YETISYNS”, i got the message, and the seed was planted, in me..
